last but not least...

For the conclusion, we should not practice racism in our life.  Especially as a Malaysian, we should respect everybody in this country as we are a multi-races country.  Actually, there are no enourmous reason why we should do racism.  As long as we are human, so we are all the same.   We must tolerate, love, and help each other in our routine life.  This is the moral values that we should have in our country. It is needed in the world too.  From this, we can prevent racism and heal all the heart that hurt because of racism.  They are human, so treat them as human.  Lastly, pour your heart with love towards everybody and automatically, you are not contribute to racism..That's all..Thank you..We love you all..

say no to racism

I'm sure many of you watched the recent taping of the Oprah Winfrey Show where her guest was Tommy Hilfiger. On the show, she asked him if the statements about race he was accused of saying were true.

 Statements like"..."If I'd known African-Americans, Hispanics, Jewish
and Asians would buy my clothes, I WOULD NOT have made them so nice. I
wish these people would *NOT* buy my clothes, as they are made for upper
class white people."

His answer to Oprah was a simple "YES".
Where after she immediately asked him to leave her show.

RACISM: The Invisible Man.

It's one of the most explosive topics around and one that people rarely greet with sincerity considering its a taboo to even utter the word ’racism’ in public. Everywhere you go, and everywhere you look, there is always somebody different and it’s no exceptional to Malaysians in general given the fact that it’s multicultural background.

Imagine walking down the street and having people stare at you or call you names, or talk behind your back, just because your skin is a different colour, or your of a different religion.

We all seem to ask ourselves the same question over and over, why do people do this?

But unfortunately racism is almost impossible to stop. There will always be egotistic people who consider their race to be better than that of other.
I’ve known other minorities who’ve been equally affected. They’ve wielded anger and violence as solutions. Others turned to depression. It can happen to anyone who doesn’t feel like they fit in. And sadly, it’s not just a burden for ethnic minorities, but any kind of social outcast.
Racism can lead to many things:-

Racism can lead to such things as hate crimes.
“A hate crime is a crime in which the defendant intentionally selects a victim, or in the case of a property crime, the property that is the object of a crime, because of the actual or perceived race, colour, religion, national origin

There are many people that have lost their lives true out history because of racism gruesome example in our country would be 13th May tragedy which many fear of repetition at such.

Racism: Are We Better Off Colour Blind?

People who taunt others, in my opinion, are actually insecure about
themselves. It might be because they are uncomfortable with who they
are as a person, or how they look, but whatever the reason is, they
only put down others to build themselves up.

In conclusion, no matter what anyone says, we are all equal, regardless of where we came from or what we look like.

Racism is not only offensive to those who are it's victims; it ruins lives and hurtspeople emotionally, mentally, and physically. Racism is WRONG.

I would like to insert an Quotation regarding the heated argument of racism.

Have a thought on it;
"The benefit of being sensitive to multiculturalism is an ability to put yourself in another person's shoes. When an effort is made to understand other cultures, then we can better understand ourselves."

Lets make a change, Its about time now.
A new Malaysia, 1 MALAYSIA.

Why does it happen?

Again, stating the word "racism" always bring shiver down my spine. This is a very controversial issue that was never brought up before publicly as the public would only care about some other unimportant news. They care about the medias, entertainment, and gossips. That is what they really care. The kind of issue that we are trying to bring forth is this, "Racism among university students". Of course people will say that this is a small and mediocre issue, but if left untreated, it will lead to the crumbling of our nation. and when I said it will, IT WILL HAPPEN.

The point is, racism happens. It is amongst us for all this while, just that we never really cared about them. All those ignorant and selfish people out there don't really care about them, and that is what made it worst. So anyway, WHY DOES IT HAPPEN?

Easy, it happens because we are not implemented with the sense of having proper racial integrity that we should have had since the older days. Try coming down to your own senses. Why are we living in a multiracial country now? and the answer is simple, because our ancestors managed to live together in a multiracial Malaya. and that is what made Malaysia now.

But, try to take a look at the condition of our country now. Have you ever lived in a neighborhood where you have three houses next to each other whose house were inhibited by three different races ; Indian, Malay and Chinese. Have you had the thought of how they will manage to live? Some will say that they will live harmoniously from what they eyes have seen. BUT, have you ever looked past that and see through what they actually think of each other? Do you think they like each other? Or are they playing masquerade and pretended that they don't have any problems, at all?

I AM NOT A RACIST NOR DO I HATE OTHERS. But what I would really like to say is that, I want to see the people of Malaysia, our people, to live together and coexists properly and stand together united, as ONE. Our Prime Minister brought up the issue of "1Malaysia". But I don't think that nobody ever really cared about it. Yes there are some who diligently trying to accomplish this dream. But what about the others that never cared about it? Think people, think.

We, the people of Malaysia should open up our narrow mind, wider and try to comprehend what this issue is really about. I am quite disappointed to see this. I am sorry to say this but, we Malaysians are somewhat narrow minded people. You are not one if you really care about this, don't worry :)

Racism, in general.

Upon producing this blog, we, the bloggers a.k.a. the group members will discuss on the topic "Racism Among University Students".

First of all, Malaysia herself is a developing country that comprises of multi races that speaks multiple languages and the three main languages that are spoken in Malaysia are Bahasa Melayu, Bahasa Cina and Bahasa Tamil. These three main races in Malaysia coexists among each other since the older days where the Malays are the biggest race here in Malaysia followed by the Chinese and the Indians. There are also other races as well such as the Bidayuh, Iban, Kadazan, Murut and many others to be named. All of these races, are combined together to form Malaysia, a multicultural country. and as usual, where there is unity, there shall always be problem. One of the main concern here is that among the multicultural people of Malaysia, there exists a problem that can arose to such a degree of disaster, called racial hatred.

As we can see, the biggest disaster that we can relate to this matter is the '13th May Tragedy'. This bloody tragedy which shows the peak of the racial hatred was brought up by the people of Malaya herself because of the lack of agreement among the people of Malaya at that time and there are huge numbers of opposition supporters which were mainly comprised of Chinese. This tragedy led to lots of bloods being spilled and the loss of properties. For more detailed information, you can refer to this, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/May_13_incident. This webpage explains the tragedy in detail.

All in all, we are here as the student of universities all over Malaysia, exists among one another with different culture and race background. This issue, racism, although may seem to be quite insignificant, is actually a matter of life and death as it can grow to such an immense height where it could have led to another bloody tragedy which we don't want for it to happen. I am hoping, which I really hope for it to not happen, that we can coexist in the university with peace and harmony regardless of how many races are there and not to forget that if we want to be successful, we must thrive together without having any prejudices among one another.

Thus said, Dasvidanja! :)

and thak you :D

Lucky To Be Here.

Hello all. This will be the very first entry for the many, or not too many upcoming entries that will be posted here on this blog. This blog is produced to satisfy the requirement for the English For Social Sciences course and it will also be a collaborated group task in which we will be graded accordingly by our dear lecturer.

This group consists of four students. Fatin Adilin, Indira Malani, Lorreta Gale and me, the only surviving guy that's able to crawl out of a dark pit, Shahrul Muhazad. Me, being the only guy in this group was reluctantly appointed as the group leader by those three girls -.-"

Okay. So I'll just cut it short in order to preserve the readers'(will there be any?) eyes rather than typing long and stupid rants that nobody's ever gonna read at all.

Here, in this blog, we'll discuss about the issue of Racism Among University Students. That's the main point that we'll be discussing about after this. Then, the main issue will be divided into three small categories in which the first one will be "WHY DOES IT HAPPEN?". The second one, "IS IT STILL PRESENT IN THIS MODERN DAYS?" and the third one, "WHAT CALAMITIES WILL THIS CONFLICT BRING ABOUT?".

So, to end this first entry, I, with the utmost gratitude would like to kindly ask for everybody's point of view, perception and if someone can present me with a solution or maybe we should call it as a "matter-of-slowing-down-the-progress", WOULD YOU KINDLY HELP US WITH IT?

That's all. Thank You :)
